Anneke's Maid of Honour is her current roommate and dear friend Vykki VanStryland. Her

bridesmaids are Sarah Austin, of Vancouver, British Columbia, another dear friend, and her

cousins: Stephanie Joy Yeker, of Victoria, British Columbia, and Adrienne (Adi) Gerrits, of Halifax,

Nova Scotia.  Anneke and Vykki met in high school, traveled Europe together and shared both a

cute, little apartment, and unusual work­sleep schedules thereafter.  Anneke got to know Sarah

as one of Joel’s classmates from Augustine College. They took a cross­Canada roadtrip

together and share a deep love for their godchildren in the Patrick family.  Stephanie and Adi

have been a special part of Anneke’s life since her earliest years, enjoying many family trips and

holidays together. All these ladies have been instrumental in counselling and supporting Anneke

throughout her relationship with Joel.

Joel’s Best Man is his frequent convoy partner and good friend Ron Hogg. His groomsmen are

good friends Simon Los, Kyle Podruzny, and Chris Tannis. All erstwhile classmates, Joel met

Ron, Simon, and Chris at Redeemer, and Kyle at Augustine College. Joel has enjoyed many

adventures, (mis­ and otherwise) in and around Ron’s car, Simon’s house, and Chris’ cottage.

Kyle can be blamed for first awakening Joel’s love of urban exploring, and while at Augustine the

pair could frequently be spotted on rooftops with any students who could be convinced to join

them. Though returning to Ottawa for the wedding, Kyle can otherwise be spotted behind the

wheel of an armoured car on the streets of Edmonton.
